Author Event Sarah Govett

Author Event Sarah Govett

Author Sarah Govett Visit to Tolworth Girls’ School - Friday 8th March

  • As a follow up to our World Book Day celebrations Year 8, will be attending a spectacular literary event in the Lowe Theatre with writer Sarah Govett.
  • Her best seller ‘The Territory’ is a fantasy thriller set in a future Britain where unflooded land is scarce.  Teenagers must pass an exam at 15 to stay in ‘The Territory’ or be exiled to the disease-ridden Wetlands but the system is skewed to favour rich kids, who can upload information through a Node in the back of their neck.
  • Sarah has published 3 titles in the series and will be signing copies of her books for pupils to purchase after her event.  Often pupils are inspired to read the author’s book after such a visit.
  • Of course, students are under no obligation to buy books but we do want to alert you to this opportunity in order to avoid disappointment. Copies are available to borrow from our Library.
