This post offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed teacher to work within an innovative and successful English team. Our students are hardworking and have a really positive attitude to learning. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated professional who has a real love for their subject and the capacity to use creative approaches in their teaching. An ability to teach English Literature or English Language and Literature at A level would be an advantage. An interest in teaching Media Studies would be desirable but not essential.

 

The English and Media Studies curriculum area is successful and vibrant. All students take English Language and Literature at GCSE and results are above the national average.

The Role

We are seeking to appoint for September 2014 a full time Teacher of Mathematics to teach across all Key Stages and to join our flourishing, large dynamic department. The successful candidate should have enthusiasm for the teaching and learning of Mathematics, the ability to teach throughout the 11-18 age and ability range, and be prepared to work as part of a team committed to high standards. NQTs are welcome to apply and a TLR could be offered to a suitable applicant.

 

The successful applicant will join a happy, hard-working team in a well-resourced purpose built suite of rooms. We are looking for a well-qualified exciting teacher who is committed to making a difference to the teaching and learning experience of our students. The successful candidate must be able to teach all Key Stages.

You will be responsible for setting the Vision for the Year group, leading and managing a team of 8 Form tutors and developing and delivering a strategic plan that builds on our schools priorities.

 

You will be responsible for monitoring the academic progress of our students and ensuring that all students are supported on their academic and pastoral journey. (We have a team of Student support workers who work alongside our Heads of Year in monitoring attendance, behaviour and delivering intervention programmes. We really do value our Academic team)

We have recently refurbished our Media Suite and Media ICT and students who really do enjoy their Media Lessons. We are seeking an Outstanding Practioner who will lead and develop this subject at 'A' level and someone who is motivated and an innovative teacher who will inspire our students to reach their full potential.
