Tolworth Teacher Gets England Cap in IWFF Women's Inaugural Match
We are pleased to share the news that our very own Carolyn Kelly, PE teacher for 30 years here and former student, has played for England in the first historic international match against Wales in Merthyr Tydfil. Although walking football has been established for a few years amongst senior men, it is relatively new for women.
Miss Kelly first tried it less than a year ago and is hooked! She says "It is brilliant for physical, social and mental health and who knew speedy walking with football skills could be so good for your cardiovascular fitness!" The whole experience has been exhilarating. England won 3-1 and proves you should never give up on your dreams! What an inspiration to the students that she teaches. We are extremely proud of her achievements and wish her all the very best with her international career.
