Following on from an increase in the meal debts, after the February half term there will be a strict cap on overspend allowed on your child’s ParentPay account.
Update on Mr Flood and the Funeral Arrangements
Mr Flood’s funeral will take place on Monday the 21 February 2022 and given the time and the number of staff involved we will have to close the school for the day. He was not only a colleague to so many, but a very dear and close friend too.
COVID-19 vaccinations for

It has been a difficult few weeks for all of us at school, but I do feel that we have all managed to look after each other and maintain the normal rhythms of school life. We are in regular contact with Mr Flood’s family and all of the cards, gifts and flowers have been delivered. We do have a Memorial book for each year group and all emails and other messages will be pasted into a book too. If you would like to send in any messages then please do so and we will add these to our books for the family.

Update to School Website
Please find below details of the update to the school website. This will take effect from Monday 17 January 2022, and we hope will make accessing Tolworth Girls’ School & Sixth Form letters and communications much more user friendly.
Parent Carer Update
Yesterday I wrote to inform you that David Flood our Head of Year 11 and History teacher had moved to a Hospice to receive the support and care that he needed. Sadly we have been informed that David passed away on Thursday night surrounded by the love and care of his family.
Years 7-11 FLU Catch up Clinic Letter 2022
Dear Parent / Guardian,
If your child missed their Flu Vaccination (Nasal Spray) at school, there will be another opportunity to receive the vaccine at the community walk-in clinic. This is open for all Primary aged Children (R- Year 6) and Years 7-11 of Secondary, who attend schools in Kingston and Richmond. Please note there will not be another opportunity after this.
Arrangements for the return to school January 2022
As you are aware the government has asked that given the current situation with COVID-19 and the Omicron variant that all students have an LFT test BEFORE they return to school in January.
We are willing to accommodate this request, however Public Health Kingston do not now have the capacity to provide us with the staff to do this testing.
Timetable Changes from January 2022 - For Your Information
Due to staff changes it is necessary to change our timetable slightly in the New Year. Where students’ timetables change, they will either be given minor changes by their teachers to write onto the timetable they have or given a new paper copy of their timetable if the change is more significant.
COVID-19 Lateral Flow Tests
Due to a shortage of lateral flow test kits in school, please see below links to assist you in obtaining free packs of tests; once tests are ordered they are delivered to your home within 24 hours (unless the link suggests collection from a designated site).
Please encourage your child to test regularly twice a week, Sunday and Wednesday, to control the spread of the virus.

Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare Trust have been asked by the government to deliver COVID-19 vaccinations to 12-15 year olds within schools.
