YEAR 9 LETTERS

  • Dear Parent/Carer

    As part of Whole School Curriculum Day (WSCD) on Tuesday 21 May 2024, Year 9 will have the chance to take part in a choice of curriculum trips. There will be seven London based curriculum trips to choose from and each one will enrich and compliment the GCSE and co-curricular programme. Students will be allocated one activity trip for the day. Year 9 have had an assembly to explain the trip offer and arrangements for the upcoming WSCD and the presentation has been shared with students on Microsoft Teams.

  • As part of the Whole School Curriculum Day, Year 9 students will be taking part in a Careers Day on Wednesday 13 March 2024. On this day the normal timetable will be suspended to allow students the opportunity to explore careers in greater depth.

    The aim is to raise careers aspirations and awareness of the breadth of careers available. It will give students the information they need to understand the job and career opportunities available, encourage higher education aspirations and develop job seeking skills. They will be working in their Tutor Groups.

  • Year 9 students have successfully completed the first term of their new GCSE courses and we are eager to monitor the progress your daughter is making. At Year 9 Parents’ Evening in November, staff will have provided comments and feedback on how your daughter has settled into Year 9.

    Your child’s annual flu vaccination is now due. This vaccination is recommended to help protect your child against flu. Flu can be an unpleasant illness and sometimes causes serious complications. Vaccinating your child will also help protect more vulnerable family and friends by preventing the spread of flu.   • Dear Parent/Carer

    The School Immunisation Team are awaiting guidance from NHS England as to the details of the flu programme for years 7 to 9. Currently the earliest date we have been given to begin is the 5th December 2022.

    As soon as we hear more about the programme we will be in touch via your Child's school.

    Children with an underlying health issues remain eligible to receive a flu vaccination at their GP.
