EXAM RESULTS & DESTINATIONS

We are very pleased that the hard work of our year 13 students has been recognised with a great set of results. With a return to pre-pandemic grading standards this year, our students knew that they had an extra level of challenge. They very much rose to this and achieved results in line with those achieved by our last pre-pandemic cohort.  Over 50% of all A levels taken were a grade A* to B and 77% A*to C. We are extremely pleased that our Vocational level 3 examination results were strong with a significant number of students achieving the highest grades.

The results reflect the hard work of staff, students and the support from parents and carers. The results are also a reflection of the positive ethos of our school; we are a comprehensive Sixth Form providing outstanding opportunities for students of all abilities. This year we have a large number of students progressing to further academic and vocational pathways, the vast majority will attend their first choice university or vocational training provider. We have helped and supported our students to achieve and make choices that will give them a real advantage in this most challenging economic climate. 

The majority of our young women and men have made outstanding progress due to the excellent support and teaching they have received at TGS through the pandemic and beyond. It has been a very tough 2 years and they have met the challenges with good humour, positivity, grit and determination. We are incredibly proud of their resilience, work ethic and achievements.
