FINANCIAL SUPPORT
We recognise that school life can sometimes bring unexpected costs, and we want every pupil to feel supported. This section has been created to guide families who may be experiencing financial difficulties and to highlight the help available.
Support may be available for:
🎒 School uniform – assistance with purchasing essential items.
🍽️ Free School Meals – ensuring every child has access to a nutritious lunch.
🚌 Travel to school – help with transport costs where needed.
📚 Learning resources – support with books, stationery, or other curriculum materials.
🌍 Curriculum-based trips and activities – ensuring pupils can take part in enriching experiences without financial barriers.
As a school, we are committed to exploring every possible way to assist families during difficult times. Our aim is to reduce pressures on pupils and parents, so that every child can fully engage in school life.

From May half term onwards, including the summer 2026 school holiday, Kingston will be moving from vouchers to individual payments through a direct application process.
If residents experience a sudden financial crisis, or need help paying for food during the school holidays, they can now apply for a crisis payment from the Crisis and Resilience Fund. More information, including eligibility details, are available on the council website. As part of the application process, broader support is now available designed to help prevent future crises. If families need extra help submitting their application they can call 020 8547 5000.
Kingston is committed to ensuring that vulnerable families will still be able to get help with food over the school holidays.
