We are looking to appoint an engaging and enthusiastic Teacher of Humanities to join our highly effective Faculty in September 2020. This post offers an excellent opportunity for a well-qualified and committed teacher, to work within an innovative and successful Faculty. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated professional who has a real love for their subject(s) and the capacity to use creative approaches in their teaching. Our ideal candidate will be able to offer Religious Studies and at least one other Humanities subject.
The highly successful Religious Studies Department delivers compulsory GCSE (Edexcel Specification B) and Philosophy and Ethics at A Level (Edexcel). History and Geography are also both high performing departments with strong uptake at GCSE and A level. The History Department also delivers A Level Government and Politics. Our students are hardworking and have a positive attitude to learning; they thrive in a culture of achievement and success. We have high expectations, encouraging our students to be aspirational with their learning and to enjoy all aspects of school life. Specialist rooms and facilities are available within the EBACC faculty, which has a high profile within the school. The faculty is committed to ensuring that students are given opportunities to develop their learning with a wide range of trips and educational visits. These include working with local faith communities, visiting places of worship, local and residential fieldwork, visiting exhibitions and museums and overseas trips. As a faculty we are also extremely proud of our links with the Holocaust Trust.

We are looking to appoint an engaging and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join our highly effective Faculty.

We are seeking to appoint a motivated and talented teacher of English, looking for a job share initially for 1 year. With recent significant curriculum change we have embraced and carefully planned for the effective delivery of our courses; we would welcome your contribution to this exciting time in our subject area. The English team is incredibly enthusiastic, driven and collaborative. Our students are hardworking and have a really positive attitude to learning. We are also fortunate to have a brand new building to be teaching in, with interactive whiteboards.

Our academic success speaks for itself; Tolworth students achieve high academic standards and make very good progress with well above average results. In 2018 we achieved 94% 9-4. We follow a rigorous and challenging curriculum and aim to extend and inspire students with literature and opportunities for creativity. The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher who has some experience of teaching at Key Stage 5. This post is offered part-time 0.4 as a job share initially fixed for 1 year. We are looking to appoint a collaborative and inspirational subject leader of History, to join our highly effective EBACC Faculty in September 2020.

 

This post offers an excellent opportunity for an accomplished and diligent teacher, to work within an innovative and highly successful Faculty. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated professional who has a real love for their subject and the drive to use creative approaches in their teaching. The successful candidate will be able to lead History and Government and Politics to KS5 and take an active role in the wider school community.

 

The highly successful History Department attracts large numbers of uptake at both GCSE and A Level. Currently both KS4 and KS5 follow the Edexcel specification. Government and Politics is also a very popular A Level subject with engaged and motivated students to be aspirational with their learning and to enjoy all aspects of school life. Specialist rooms and facilities are available within the EBACC faculty, which has a high profile within the school. The faculty is committed to ensuring that students are given opportunities to develop their learning with a wide range of trips and educational visits. The History Department leads visits to the Tower of London and the Imperial War Museum as well as residential visits to Washington, USA and the trenches in Ypres, Belgium. The department also works closely with the Holocaust Education Trust: Lessons from Auschwitz.
