Tolworth Girls' School & Sixth Form is looking to appoint an exceptional, experienced and talented leader as Deputy Headteacher, to join our highly effective Leadership Team.

We are a friendly school, and passionately believe that every student matters. Tolworth Girls' School & Sixth Form is a thriving community school with a healthy and open attitude to progress and change.  The school is at an exciting stage of development, with new buildings and sports facilities, increasing numbers in all years, and a sixth form of some 300 students. Our successful candidate will have responsibility for a number of key strategic whole school areas as well as leading effectively the full range of day-to-day operational duties. Candidates must already hold a Senior Management post of Assistant or Deputy Headteacher with demonstrable capacity to drive continued, rapid school improvement, lead staff and have clear impact on student outcomes. The post will carry specific responsibilities in a variety of areas that will benefit the team and the school; these will be discussed with candidates during the interview process. This post will provide an ideal opportunity for preparation for Headship.

This post offers an excellent opportunity for an innovative and accomplished teacher, to work within a hardworking and highly successful Mathematics team. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated professional who has a real love for their subject and the capacity to use creative approaches in their teaching. We have a strong and well-staffed department with a positive team ethos.

Our ideal candidate will be a committed practitioner who shares our vision ‘Let your light so shine – Be the best you can be’. You will have the ability to teach up to A ‘Level/ Key Stage 5 and will have successful experience of teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4.
