Following valuable feedback from parents/carers, we are sharing your daughter’s Pastoral Summary Report at this point in the year, rather than waiting until the very end of term. By doing so, we hope to give families the opportunity to review the information carefully and follow up on any areas where further support or improvement may be helpful.

On Thursday 12 November 2026, Nat Harrison, the author of our Read-Up book, ‘The Girl Who Raced the World’ is visiting Tolworth Girls’ School & Sixth Form.
We are delighted to welcome Nat and in celebration of her visit, Regency Bookshop is offering the hardback sequel, ‘The Girl Who Raced the World: Journey Into the Jungle’ at a discounted rate of £10.20.

On Tuesday 17 November 2026, Tolworth Girls’ School & Sixth Form will hold its first Whole School Curriculum Day (WSCD) of this academic year. Year 7 students will remain in school, but will be off-timetable, taking part in a range of wider curriculum experiences led by the Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) and Religious Studies (RS) Departments. These sessions are designed to be interactive, engaging and enriching, offering students an opportunity to extend their learning beyond the classroom and deepen their understanding of Key Stage 3 curriculum content.

We would like to invite you to an optional parental engagement event at Tolworth Girls’ School & Sixth Form on Wednesday 21 October 2026 from 6.00pm to 6.45 pm focusing on 'Supporting your Daughter to Read Effectively'. Students do not need to attend this event.

We are writing to confirm that the Year 7 Assessment Period will run from Wednesday 4 November to Friday 13 November 2026.
Purpose of Assessment
• The Year 7 Assessment Period provides an opportunity for students to develop their assessment and revision skills as they settle into secondary school
• These assessments are formative, meaning they help teachers identify students’ strengths and areas for development so that classroom teaching and support can be tailored to their needs. They also give students valuable experience of preparing for assessments across a range of practical and academic subjects
• The emphasis is on learning, progress and developing confidence

Here at Tolworth Girls’ School & Sixth Form, we are deeply committed to supporting the development of literacy skills among all our students. Reading is not only a fundamental academic skill but also a gateway to lifelong learning, critical thinking and emotional wellbeing. In today's fast-paced digital age, it is more important than ever to foster a strong reading habit in teenagers.

We would like to invite your daughter to our annual Year 7 Social which will take place on Friday 16 October 2026 from 5.30 to 6.45pm. We would love for everyone in Year 7 to participate in this social event, therefore we are providing a number of extra activities for those who would like to attend but perhaps do not wish to dance to music.

We would like to welcome your daughter to Key Stage 3 Science.
We are looking forward to working with your daughter throughout Key Stage 3 and wanted to provide some information about how Science will be organised, including what students will study, homework and assessments.

We hope your daughter’s first Art lessons of the term are exciting. This year, your daughter will have the chance to explore painting and drawing using a broad range of media in Art, as well as hand embroidery in Textiles and working with clay in Ceramics.

To ensure we are providing the best support possible, we would like to invite all Year 7 parents/carers to an information evening on Tuesday 15 September 2026, from 6.00pm to 7.00pm.

If you are unable to sign your daughter up to a club, this is because the club is now full. Trampolining and Crochet for example, are clubs that are now at full capacity for this term. These clubs will be opened up again in January 2027and students who did not get a place this term will be prioritised. In the meantime, if you would like to be added to a waiting list for a club which is full, please ask your daughter to speak directly with the club lead, or you can contact the school via the following email address at contactheschool@tolworthgirlsschool.co.uk
