Your daughter’s Form Tutors teach PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic education) lessons as part of their ongoing pastoral support. You will be aware that this academic year, we continue to teach PSHE as a dedicated lesson on Thursdays.
This has proven successful, allowing us to provide valuable and meaningful lessons while ensuring students have the time to engage in deeper discussions on important topics.
Our curriculum intent and learning maps have been carefully developed and refined over the past two years and are available on the school website. -
As part of our English curriculum next term, our Year 9 students will be studying the Shakespearean play: ‘Macbeth’. We teach this play as an opportunity to study and analyse a text that is similar to GCSE content. It offers rich opportunities for literary analysis, emotional literacy and meaningful discussion.

We would like to invite you to an optional parental engagement event at Tolworth Girls’ School & Sixth Form on Wednesday 21 October 2026 from 6.00pm to 6.45 pm focusing on 'Supporting your Daughter to Read Effectively'. Students do not need to attend this event.

We are delighted to open our doors in late September to prospective parents and carers as they make the important decision of choosing their daughter’s secondary school.
The success of our Open Evening depends on the involvement and enthusiasm of our students. Our students are always excellent ambassadors for Tolworth Girls’ School & Sixth Form and we expect all Year 9 students to take part as tour guides, welcoming prospective families and leading them on tours of the school.

We would like to welcome your daughter to the start of their GCSE Science journey. Year 9 marks an important transition as students begin studying the content and developing the skills that will contribute towards their GCSE Science qualifications.
We are looking forward to working with students over the coming years and want to provide some information about how GCSE Science will be organised, including exercise books, assessments, homework and revision resources.
